New Year Celebration 2024/25

A fun 70's evening was held in Lynsted Church with a drink on arrival, music, dancing, fancy dress, canapes and a glass of fizz at midnight to celebrate the new year. Over £700  was raised for charities.

Wine Tasting

The Black Lion held an Italian wine tasting evening, with expert guidance on the wines and an accompanying cheese board.

Lynsted Fete 2024

Traditional village fete for all the family. Held every August Bank Holiday Monday, 1 - 4pm.This year's theme was Revival. Live music, bar, barbeque, tea tent, kids' entertainment, tombolas, raffle, games, coconut shy, dog show, etc.

Bacon rolls, local walk & lunch at the Black Lion

The day started with a bacon roll & a cuppa at the Black Lion, followed by a walk and then back to the Black Lion for a late lunch.

Platinum Jubilee Celebrations

There were several Jubilee celebrations in the village, including: a bike ride: an evening event at the Black Lion with the lighting of a Jubilee beacon; an afternoon tea event in Lynsted Church with a slide show & display of old photos, and the showing of the official the 1953 Coronation film; and a fun afternoon event on the school playing field for children & families.
